Quilting Bee: You will love the effects a few triangles and squares will give to your layout. Just simply cut out some squares or triangles and let your creative juices flow! The result will be a Masterpiece, suitable for framing.
For a Triangular Touch: First, choose two or more contrasting or coordinating 8 ½" x 11" papers. Try to compliment the colors in your pictures. Next cut your 8 ½" x 11" papers into 4 inch squares. Now cutting diagonally, cut one 4 inch square into two halves to create two triangles. Continue with the remaining squares. Now, play around a while with the triangles, fitting, mixing and matching to create an original design. It's fun!
To create the pinwheel design; mark the center of your 12" x 12" paper: Measure 6 inches in on each side. Point all your triangles in the same direction, then place one point of each triangle touching your center mark, work in a clockwise direction until your circle is complete. Add triangles to complete each corner.

*You may use any size of square or triangle you prefer. If you would like your quilt pattern to evenly cover your entire 12"x12" paper, I suggest taking the 12" edge and dividing it by the number of triangles or squares you want going across. For example: Six squares across; 12 inches divided by 6 equals 2 inches. You will want to cut 2" x 2" squares. If you want them as triangles, just cut them in half diagonally, or cut them into fourths (X cut).
